Cyctic fibrosis is a chronic and debilitating disease that affects millions of people worldwide. Despite its prevalence, it remains largely misunderstood, and the struggles faced by those living with it are often invisible to the naked eye.
As a photographer, I wanted to capture the unseen aspects of this condition, to show the world what it's like to live with CF. From the constant fatigue and pain to the emotional toll of isolation and stigma, my goal was to humanize the experience and raise awareness about the daily battles faced by those affected.
As I delved deeper into the world of CF, I was struck by the resilience and determination of those living with it. Despite the challenges they face, many individuals have found ways to adapt, to find joy and purpose in their lives.
I had the privilege of meeting some incredible people who are not only fighting for their own health but also advocating for others like them. Their stories inspired me to create a platform where we can share our experiences, support one another, and raise awareness about this condition.
As I began to share my photos on social media, I was overwhelmed by the response. People from all over the world reached out to me, sharing their own stories and experiences with CF.
I realized that photography has the power to break down barriers, to humanize the experience of those living with this condition, and to inspire empathy and understanding in others.
